You may be finding yourself stuck... Stuck dealing with the same old relationship issues, perhaps fumbling time and time again, trying to find the career path right for you, or maybe plain stuck struggling to get out of bed in the morning. For one reason or another you may be struggling with your identity, or are having trouble confidently embracing who you know you are. You want to live a life of meaning, but all this stuff is just getting in the way, and it’s suffocating. It’s causing crippling anxiety and depression, difficulty sleeping, and you just can’t focus when you need to.
At True Joy Counseling, our work is centered around identifying who it is you want to be in the world, learning how to BE that person, and taking action to create that meaning you’re searching for. I take an integrative approach, using process based treatments to guide our work together, including DBT, CBT, ACT, IFS, and a whole lot of humor.
More than anything, I believe that we all are doing the best we can with what we know, and we can always know more.
The work is challenging, requiring thoughtful reflection and dedication. My role is to practice providing a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for you to find True Joy, again.
